What are some of the easiest and least expensive home businesses to start?
I would like more info on home businesses. How can you tell which are scams? I work part time and my fiancee is out of work for health reasons. I have experience in teaching, food service and care-giving. He has transportation and security experience. How can we combine our talents and have our own business?
Well right off the bat I would consider his experience with transportation and your experience with food to come up with something like catering. You would then need to come up with a business plan that would direct: how much you can spend, how big your business will be, what you think you can achieve, etc. After that I would also recommend setting up a website for the business and include a 1-800 number. For these two steps I recommend checking out www.buildfree.org (a decent way to start your page for free) and tollfreenumber.org (the cheapest toll free provider I’ve found). The website and toll free allow customers easy access to information about your business and give it a professional feel. When this is accomplished you can start advertising and the rest you will learn along the way.
