If I don’t receive a response from my resume and cover letter, can I resend?
I will normally send an email that goes something like this:
Dear Hiring Manager:
I recently submitted my resume and cover letter for the Marketing Administrator opportunity. I wanted to thank you for taking the time to review my qualifications and to briefly follow-up on the availability of this position. I have over five years of experience and am still very much interested in hearing more about your company! An additional copy of my resume and cover letter has been attached. I appreciate your time and consideration.
Should I send this type of email if I didn’t get a response, or should I just resend the resume and cover letter, and say nothing about the fact that I have submitted it previously?
What if they lost the resume or misplaced it? I live in MI and employer’s are receiving thousands and thousands of resumes per every application. People here have to be somewhat aggressive in their job search.
do not reference prior resume. they have blown you off and a 2nd resume to them is probably not a good idea.
