opt in vs opt out
Sep/080

All smart marketers use an email opt-in list. It is way of making even more money with little extra effort.
What Is An Opt-In List?
We’ve all seen them before. They are those newsletter sign-up boxes that you see on websites asking you for your name and email address in return for valuable information.
Why Use One?
Most people visit a website without even buying. They then leave and may never return. If you can offer them a free report or similar in return for their details, you can keep their attention for much longer. You can help people out (and make money in the process) who might have otherwise never returned to your site.
How To Use One
It’s very easy. You simply implement a form of a third party service on any kind of web page. You can have it on a general niche content site or a standalone page. Offer the subscriber value upfront in the form of a freebie and keep offering them value in your newsletters.
If you are selling products then I highly encourage you to also try to capture the details of your customers. These people are proven buyers and will buy from you again and again.
Why Use A Third Party Service?
If you try to install your own email script then your host will not like it. Also, your email might be perceived as SPAM by the email software your prospects are using.
By using a third party delivery service you will get better delivery rates because these companies have agreements with all the major email providers.
Recommended Services
Hands down the best two “autoresponder” services are Aweber and Getresponse. I personally use Aweber myself but both offer an equivalent service.
