email marketing for small business
as a small business or self employed person would you…….?

Would you use a remote administration service?
I am thinking of starting a remote freelance administration service for small businesses, mobile businesses and self employed people.

The service will aid people running their own businesses with regards to falling behind on invoicing, weekly/monthly invoicing, quotations, purchases, administration, client care, client data bases, marketing and advertising, tax returns, vat, and general support using a tailored payment scheme.

This should also benefit those who do not wish to have a base and support will be available via telephone, drop off or email.

The service can be used on a pay as you go basis.

Would anybody be interested in this kind of service?
Are there any Additional services which would be a benefit to users?

Any input would be great, thanks!

Sorry to say but not a chance. I would never outsource such critical business issues. First I would have to spend too much time educating you on specifics to my particular business and it would end up taking too much time. Second, I wouldn’t want a contractor having such intimate details of my fledgling business. If you were enterprising and inclined, you might decide to compete or steal my business. Third, I want these functions close to me, not far away.

First rule in business is don’t do anything without a good CPA, attorney and admin by your side. The CPA and attorney can handle a lot of the functions you listed above at a fair rate and they are experts on those issues. The rest can be handled by a part-time admin who can grow into the role full time if needed. BUT, marketing, advertising, purchasing and client support/care should be handled by the business owner/founder for any chance of success. No offense but your services would actually contribute to the derailment of a successful launch. Hope the info is helpful though. Save tens of thousands of dollars and a year or two of disappointment and look at other possibilities. (smile)
